It's been my nickname since college days. My classmates in high school simply called me, Samie. Here's my official name, Samoore S. Ladjahali. Mother told me that a female Islamic teacher met her on the way while she carried me on her laps. That Islamic teacher asked her what my name was. It was none yet was her reply. She named me Samur which, accordingly it came from arabic word means a kind of tree.
